Orphan Grain Train
Most of our parents volunteered to work at the Economy Center on Midland Street in the past. The Economy Center took in new and used items to fund programs offered by Lutheran Services. We now have the opportunity, here at Zion to begin a new outreach program called the Orphan Grain Train. We collect items here at church, once the barrel is filled, then someone would deliver these items to the Sebewaing warehouse.
The upcoming weeks we will have reminders in the bulletin of what items we are collecting. Over the next two weeks we are going to collect the following items: How many barrels do you think we can fill?
Clothing (gently used or new) Infant Supplies
Infant, children’s, women’s and men’s clothes Cloth and Disposable Diapers
Shoes, clean and wearable Layettes
New underwear (only) – all ages and sizes Stuffed Toys
Socks (good used or new)
Add your donations to Zion’s “Barrel of Love”
Items can be dropped off at the church. Thank you!
